MOBILE LIBRARY OPERATOR OF THE YEAR AWARD
At the 1998 Country Public Libraries Association Annual General Meeting, it was decided to name the Mobile Operator of the Year Award - The David Quinlivan Mobile Library Operator Award, and to present this award every second year.

The inaugural "NSW Mobile Library Operator of the Year Award" was announced at the 1997 Country Public Libraries Association Conference, in Wollongong, NSW.
The winner Anne Beevers from the Upper Murray Regional Library was presented with her award at the Conference dinner. Highly commended prizes were presented to Ray Crew from the Liverpool City Library and Robert Nelson from the Monaro Regional Library and Information Service. The award for the "Rookie of the Year" was made to Jeremy Brown from the Bega Valley Shire Library.
